Live Life To Its Fullest – Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy (OT) is goal-directed treatment. People that may benefit from OT sessions include people whose ability to function is impaired by normal aging, illness, injury or developmental disability. Obtainable goals through OT include the improvement of functional freedom and prevention of future disability.  Occupational Therapists improve upon these areas of daily life.

Pain, Pain, Go Away!

September is pain awareness month. Nearly 100 million Americans experience chronic pain. Most of those painful effects come from diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Chronic pain can be a warning sign for something much more problematic. Alerting your doctor of this pain should be a necessary precaution.

Dealing with chronic pain on a daily basis can be intolerable at times.

Determination Perseveres

Constance, a 77 year-old woman with 2 hip, 2 knee, and 2 rotator cuff replacements, persevered the odds.  Not only was she able to improve her physical health but she was also able to improve her mental health.
